Emil Kongshøj Larsen is the Executive Vice President of International Operations at Novo Nordisk.

Emil is based in Zurich, overseeing all of Novo Nordisk’s global commercial units, excluding the USA.

Emil joined Novo Nordisk in 2007 and has held key leadership positions across multiple regions, including Commercial Affairs, Strategy, and operations in Africa, the Middle East, and the CIS. He became senior vice president for North West Europe in 2022, later for Eu-rope and Canada in 2024, and in August 2025 was appointed executive vice president of Interna-tional Operations.

With his global experience, Emil brings in-depth knowledge of various healthcare systems and life science ecosystems. He is very engaged in how we position Europe as a leader in life science and create the best possible conditions and eco-system to achieve this.

On October 9 at Mærsk Tower, Emil will take part in the panel debate Closing the Gap: How to Design a European Industrial Policy for Public Health and Innovation.
