“Ann-Sofie Rönnlund is a Member of the Cabinet of EU Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation Ms Ekaterina Zaharieva.
In the Cabinet Ann-Sofie is in charge of the regulatory aspects of innovation and the European Innovation Act. Previously she was Head of Unit in the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, in charge of fostering innovation-friendly regulations via regulatory sandboxes, and monitoring the impact of the EU research and innovation programme in contributing to EU policy objectives. She has previously worked in the Secretariat-General of the Commission and in the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, advancing the EU’s digital and cybersecurity agendas. Before joining the Commission she worked in the European Parliament and with EU affairs at telecommunications company Nokia.

On October 8 at Rigshospitalet, Ann-Sofie will take part in the panel discussion Turbocharging the European Ecosystem in Life Sciences – Innovation District Europe.”
